Editorial Notes:

Welcome back!  The LCN had a longer break than originally planned (June-August).  This is due to most of our writers and readers being off for the summer.  The break gave us a chance to reorganize the site and move the LCN to its own domain (LearningAssistance.com).

The new site includes some other bonuses as well. Readers can now communicate with each other via the new LCN Message Board.  You can use this board to discuss articles in the newsletter, other learning-assistance issues, or for just for chatter.  Check it out by visiting this link:

   http://www.learningassistance.com/forum/

Readers can also participate in live chats via the LCN chat room.  If you want to discuss a certain subject, let us know and we'll spread the word, including a certain date and time for the live discussions.  Visit the chat room here:

  http://learningassistance.com/cgi-sys/mchat.cgi?channel=learningassistance.com

We also have a file download area available.  This can be used for sharing files among readers.  If you have something to share please email me.

The articles index has been updated with the new links and expanded to include all past issues.  You can find the index on this web page:

   http://www.learningassistance.com/articles.htm

Thanks to our dedicated authors, our first issue on the new site is packed with excellent articles.  I would like to thank each one of these authors for the contributions they make to the newsletter.  If you would like to join our authors team by either submitting a one-time contribution or by sponsoring a regular column, please contact me.

Finally, I would like your help in spreading the word about the LCN.  Feel free to pass its new domain address:

http://www.learningassistance.com/ to your colleagues.

Have a wonderful fall session!

~ Mon Nasser, Editor
